A Fan First And Foremost

As a longtime movie lover, Kenneth decided to try his hand at long-form storytelling and immediately fell in love with the pursuit. He soon decided to try to transition from hobbyist to professional, an ongoing challenge with every new story he sets about telling.

Advised early on to write in a single genre as it is “never easier to sell a script then right after you’ve sold a script” and that it is helpful to producers if your work is somewhat predictable, the idea being they can then know somewhat what to expect from you, he chose to focus on psychological thrillers. As a marketer for the previous three decades, he determined to deliberately cultivate a stylistic “hook” by consistently putting average people into extraordinary situations and then following the unfolding action to see what happens and so wrote his SUBURBAN HORROR STORY trilogy of films: HOME DEFENSE; HIM OR ME; and FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES.

Since completing those first installments of the series (stay tuned), Kenneth has written an armored car heist short film; a high-concept science fiction movie (to be adapted into a limited-run comic book series); and a crime/revenge action piece. He is also researching his first nonfiction feature, a biopic about a gentleman who passed away in obscurity but who ought to be a pop culture folk hero. And he is investigating buying the film rights for an adaptation of one of his favorite young adult novels.

His simple belief that if he was to fail it should be because he did so and not someone else, Kenneth founded a film & television production company called LIONLIKE MEDIA, LLC to bring his stable of projects to life.
